      IPSWICH UNIONIST AND CPA MEMBER DIES

      TRIBUNE extends sincere sympathy to the family and workmates of Mr. G. S. Shard (Ipswich Vehicle Builders' rep. and Communist Party member) who died during the holidays.
      Mr. Shard, who worked at the Ipswich Rail Workshops, was active in his union, which he had represented at Federal conferences on a number of occasions. He was a member of the Shop and Job Committee and shop steward in the carriage shop.
      Mr. Shard had been a member of the Communist Party for many years.
