      A Fatal Accident.
      Phillip J. Powell, 35 years, single, of Dinon-road, South Kensington, who was recently crushed between a lorry and the side of a stable at Kensington, died yesterday at the Melbourne Hospital.

      CASUALTIES AND FATALITIES.

      LORRY-DRIVER INJURED.

      While Philip Powell, aged 35 years, of Dynon street, South Kensington, was driving a lorry into the stable of Walsh and Sons, carriers, Footscray, yesterday, he was jammed between a rail and the lorry. He was admitted to the Melbourne Hospital, suffering from a fractured spine.

      CARTER'S MISHAP.

      A carter named Phillip Powell, aged 35, a single man, residing at 75 Dynam road, Kensington, was last evening admitted to the Melbourne Hospital suffering from a dislocated spine. He was driving a lorry loaded with coal into a shed, and drove into a low beam.
