    • OBITUARY
      MR. H. A. ZISCHKE
Mr. Hermann Albert Zischke died suddenly at his home in Marburg on Tuesday afternoon last, at the age of 65 years. The late Mr. Zischke was of a genial and kindly disposition, and was a devout adherent of his church. He was born in Luppo, Stolp, Germany, and when an infant came to Australia with his parents, who first worked at Tarampa, and then made their home at Blenheim.
In 1908 the late Mr. Zischke was married to Miss Augusta Reinbott in the Lutheran Church, Lowood, by Pastor Millat. The couple selected property at Lake Clarendon, where they lived for 12 years. About 1921 Mr. Zischke purchased a farm at Tarampa, where the couple laboured until 1948, when they hoped to retire to live in Laidley. Owing to wartime regulations this was not possible, so they came to Marburg to live in retirement.
There were two adopted children-Beatrice (Mrs. A. Born), Forest Hill, and Roy, who is in the armed forces. The late Mr. Zischke also is survived by his wife, four brothers, and two sisters.
The funeral took place at the Marburg Lutheran Cemetery. Pastor H. Quast officiating at the graveside.
