Sylvia Congregational Church, the parties being Miss Mary Raddatz, of Ingoldsby, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. P. Raddatz, and Mr W. Arndt, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. Arndt, Mt. Sylvia. Rev. Haynes, Gatton, performed the ceremony, after which the guests, comprising about 47 families, gathered at the home of the bride's parents, for the wedding breakfast. Mr. Haynes was Chairman. The toast, "The Bride and Bridegroom" was proposed by Mr. L. Gelhaar, who was supported by Mr. S. P. Bell. The bride then cut the two-tier wedding cake. The bride wore a beautiful frock of Bailey's de-Chine, shirred and trimmed with silver lace and godets. The veil was lent by the bride's sister, Mrs. F. Zischke. The bridesmaid wore a frock of white georgette, shirred and pin-tucked. The best man, Mr. A. Raddatz, was a brother of the bride. The bride and bridegroom will spend their honeymoon at Toowoomba. The bride's travelling costume was a coat and skirt of blue with hat and shoes to match. [2]
