- The marriage of Mr. Julius Edward Kitzelmann (of Marburg, second son of the late Mr. and Mrs. J. Kitzelmann) to Miss Mary Hagemann (eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. Hagemann, of Marburg) was celebrated in the Marburg Roman Catholic Church on May 12 (writes our Marburg correspondent). The Rev. Father Lane officiated.
The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a gown of embroidered voile, the bodice made in Magyar style, and finished with seed pearls; the skirt was in tunic style and arranged with belt of folded satin. She also wore a wreath and veil in mob cap style, and carried a beautiful bouquet of white roses, tuberoses, carnations, and chrysanthemums, tied with satin streamers, and a pretty prayer-book (a gift from the bridegroom).
Miss Agnes Hagemann (sister of the bride) acted as bridesmaid, and wore a costume of cream crystalline voile. Her gold ring set with a precious stone was a gift from the bridegroom. She carried a bouquet similar to that of the bride.
Mr John Murphy acted as best man.
Subsequent to the ceremony a wedding breakfast was served at the residence of the bride's parents. Numerous valuable and useful presents were received. The bride's gift to the bridegroom was a prayer-book. [4]
